DEAR DIARY: beauty in the eyes of Julia.
Sep. 22nd, 2018 01:04 pm i think my taste in other people's "appearance" might be a bit different compared to the taste of an "average modern American"...
i was trying to think about how i know when i am looking at something/someone and i think "ah! how beautiful"... what sort of things strike me as beautiful/attractive? the bottom line that we (the in-house family) has decided on, is "taking in" things and having feelings like: love, comfort, peace, pleasure (sexual hormones going on a rampage), etc.....
so yes, laying eyes on these things, and taking in visual factors, is often one of the first influences we are bombarded with (what can i say? photons/quanta are rather fast)... but aroma is HIGHLY tied to this, as well as sound elements...
so if i look at someone, it might be something like: he has such happy eyes... i love the sound of his laugh.. his smell is mild and spicy, and a bit musky at that..... --- I AM SOLD.
but have me look at faces on the TV, and go on and on about how *beautiful* these people are, and want to know who my favorite is, all i can do is blink and feel lost....
i can agree that, yes they seem to have empty skin (no shadows at all), and they might come across a little more attractive if i happen to listen to their voices and realize that they sound a bit pleasant (unique voices are important to me), but seeing as i can't smell ANY of them (not even if i press my nose into the TV), i have to confess that not a one of them sexually interests me, and i never fall in love with them (sorry, no crushes on celebrities)...
if i ever do fall for one of them, it honestly is not the celebrity exactly..... it will be one of the physical appearances that we imagine in our mind... and trust me, the imagined-entity becomes "real" to us only after interacting with the rest of the family in here, and talking/laughing/crying with us, holding us (spiritually wrapping their arms around us and just holding each other), sensing their "smell", and surprise surprise, their physical appearance always seems to morph slightly over time.....
if enough time passes, you might think that they appear a bit related to the original celebrity that we saw on the TV, but they are definitely not clones....
