the leaves have started to break down in the soil-water... it smells quite lovely.
like a wet autumn-leaves and faint sweet alcohol smell (ethanol from breaking-down cellulose).
the colonies are being lifted a bit by all of those tiny bubbles, but sink back pretty easily..
the water is getting a bit cloudy..
